Ladies I admire

There are a few ladies I admire a lot.
Ladies that agianst all odds were able to carve a niche for themselves in a society that rarely favour the feminine gender.
These are not limited to the following;
 Linda Ikeji Is a popular blogger, former model and a business woman popularly known as Anty linda by LIB readers (of which I am one). She was recently featured in the August edition of Forbes Africa magazine, where she is dubbed Nigeria’s highest paid blogger.
The businesswoman and former model was celebrated in the article ‘Beauty, Brains and the Business of Blogging’, as the August edition recognises the struggle for women in business.
Michealle Obama is the First black First Lady of the United States of America. A wife( to the First black President of the United States of America) and a mother of
two young pretty girls.


Oprah Winfrey is an American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist. Winfrey is best known for her self-titled, multi-award-winning talk show, which has become the highest-rated program of its kind in history and was nationally syndicated from 1986 to 2011. She has been ranked the richest African-American of the 20th century, the greatest black philanthropist in American history and was for a time the world's only black billionaire.  She is also, according to some assessments, the most influential woman in the world.

Tyra Lynne Banks is an American model and media personality She first became famous as a model, appearing twice on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and working for Victoria's Secret as one of their original Angels. Banks is the creator and host of the UPN/The CW reality television show America's Next Top Model, co-creator of True Beauty, and was the host of her own talk show, The Tyra Banks Show.Banks is one of four African Americans and seven women to have repeatedly ranked among the world's most influential people by Time magazine.
 


Genevieve Nnaji, MFR is a Nigerian actress. In 2005 she won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. CNN states that she is referred to as the "Julia Roberts of Africa".


Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau the dance queen popularly addressed as Kaffy. The Guinness Book of Record Best Dancer Bearer who dazzled the world with her ability to dance for 48 hours non-stop.She is a wife and a mother of one. She owns a dance company known as Imagneto Dance Company and currently launched a dance reality TV show where she does what she knows to do best- Dancing!   

Ory Okolloh -- Kenyan. Co-founder, Ushahidi
A Harvard-trained lawyer, activist and blogger, Kenyan-born Ory Okolloh spearheaded the founding of Ushahidi, a revolutionary crowd souring utility which enables citizen journalists and eyewitnesses all over the world to report incidences of violence through the web, mobile E-mail, SMS, and Twitter. Earlier this year, Okolloh assumed a new position as Google’s Policy Manager for Africa, and she is widely acknowledged as one of the most influential women in global technology.

Ndidi Nwuneli Nigerian. Social Entrepreneur
Ndidi founded LEAP Africa - a leading nonprofit that provides social entrepreneurs, youth and small scale business owners with leadership training and executive coaching services. She is also a co-founder of AACE Foods, a Nigerian food processor. Ndidi is a leading authority on social entrepreneurship and in 2004 was bestowed with the national honour, Member of the Federal Republic (MFR) by the Nigerian President at the time, Olusegun Obasanjo.


Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter
Beyoncé is an American singer, record producer, dancer, actress, a wife and a mother. Born and raised in Houston Texas, she was first exposed to singing and dancing competitions as a child. Knowles rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of Destiny's Child, one of the world's best-selling girl groups of all time.
She is widely acknowledged as one of the world's inflential leading female singer.
